Aerio ("we", "us") provides aircraft management software for management companies, aircraft owners, and pilots. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the Aerio web application and the Aerio Owner and Aerio Pilot mobile apps.
Information we collect
- Account information — name, email address, and authentication credentials associated with your invite-only account.
- Operational data — flight schedules, booking and charter details, aircraft and pilot assignments, maintenance windows, downtime, and related notes you or your management company enter.
- Device data for app features — push notification tokens, and (only when you choose) Face ID / device biometrics to unlock the app, and calendar access to add flights to your device calendar.
- Support communications — messages you send to hello@aerio.flights.
How we use information
We use this information to:
- Operate scheduling, dispatch, charter, finance, and notification features
- Authenticate you and protect your session
- Send operational notifications you enable (for example flight updates)
- Provide support and improve reliability and security
We do not sell personal information. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-app tracking SDKs in the Aerio Owner or Aerio Pilot apps.
Website analytics
On this website we use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views and measure which pages and buttons people use. It does not use tracking cookies and does not build a profile of you across other sites. We store one first-party cookie containing a random identifier, used only to keep your view of the page consistent while we test different wording. It holds no personal information.
Sharing
Operational data is shared with the management company and other authorised users linked to your organisation (for example owners, pilots, and staff) as needed to run the service. We use infrastructure providers (such as hosting, database, and email delivery) under contracts that require them to process data only to provide those services.
Retention
We retain account and operational records for as long as your organisation uses Aerio and as needed for legitimate business, legal, or security purposes. You may request account deletion from the mobile app profile screen or by contacting us.
Your choices
- You can disable push notifications in device settings.
- Calendar and Face ID access are optional and requested only when you use those features.
- You can delete your account in the Aerio Owner or Aerio Pilot app (Profile → Delete account), subject to any organisational constraints enforced by the service.
Security
We use industry-standard safeguards including encrypted transport (HTTPS), access controls, and role-based permissions. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Children
Aerio is a business tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
International users
Aerio is operated with users in South Africa and may process data in regions where our providers host services. By using Aerio you understand that information may be processed outside your country of residence.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of Aerio after an update means you accept the revised policy.
